1987 last night. The first one. Man,that 10 team elimination match was incredible on so many different levels. First off, just seing 10 actual tag teams in 1 match is so refreshing. Plus the actual match itself was classic. They did the same match a year later with different teams and that too wasa great match that went over 40 minutes.

I can go on and on with stories about guys HHH helped bury, but I lived through all of that for the last decade+. I'm sick of it. Now I'm not saying HHH isdoing the same thing to Punk, but all the signs are certainly there if you're paying attention.

Sad and true at the same time. Even the Free For All shows before ppvs were newsworthy. I remember watching those with a whole lot of enthusiasm. Now I still watch the preview show, but it's not the same. I'm a fan of knowing the card in advance.

It wasn't until the attitude era was in full swing(1998-1999) that they stopped announcing thefull ppv cards all at once in advance. They would spread out the announcement of matches over the 4 weeks. Now today they announce the main events 2-3 weeks before the ppv and the rest of the card gets announced on

.com a few days before the ppv. And that's if we're lucky.

Even when they started the In Your House ppvs in 1995 and went monthly, they would still announce the ppv lineup a month in advance. On

the night after every ppv they would announce the full card for the very next ppv. There's no reason why they couldn't do that again.

One thing I really miss from the late 80's/erly 90's was the old

PPV Report segments where Mean Gene would take 5 minutes every week to go over the lineup for whatever ppv was coming upnext. They would run over the entire card. There's no way they could dothat today.
